Here are the updates from the middle school:
2018 Referendum Update: The referendum for the high school building project is slightly more than one week away. Voting will take place on March 13. Polls are open from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. An absentee ballot application can be found at this link Absentee Ballot. Simply complete and submit per the directions.
The next referendum communications committee meeting is March 6 at 6:30 pm in the High School Media Center.

Blue ribbons will be worn to focus the community’s attention on the referendum vote that will take place on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.
Final tours are scheduled from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, March 12th. The tours will start in the 500 building and each tour will last approximately 30 minutes.
The referendum vote will take place on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Polls are open 2pm to 8pm only. Mail in ballots can be requested in advance if voters cannot get to the polls during those times. Absentee Ballot
Middle School Dance: The middle school student council is hosting a dance on this evening, March 2 from 7 pm until 9 pm. This event is only open to Northern Burlington middle school students who purchased a ticket in advance. Tickets were sold during lunches and on Friday morning. No tickets will be sold at the door. The doors will open at 7 pm, please do not arrive early. The dance will conclude at 9 pm, rides should be there to pick up students promptly at the conclusion of the dance. To facilitate student pick up, seventh graders should be picked up from the bus entrance that can be accessed via Island Road and eighth graders should be picked up from the main entrance that can be accessed via Mansfield Road - East.
March 7 High School Visit for 8th graders: Eighth grade students will briefly visit the high school during the morning of March 7 to learn about course offerings in the high school and take a tour of the building. This is in preparation for the meeting with counselors to choose courses for the coming year. Students in 7th grade will begin discussion for course selection later this month.
Book Fair: The Parent Teacher Student Connection (PTSC) is running a book fair next week. Students will have an opportunity to visit the book fair during the school day and make purchases if they wish. The proceeds benefit the PTSC and the middle school media center.
Lost and Found: The middle school lost and found will be cleaned out and the items donated on Tuesday, March 6. Prior to that date, students are encouraged to check the lost and found tables outside the gymnasium for items they may be missing.
Spring Sports: Any student interested in playing a spring sport (baseball, softball, lacrosse, golf, or track and field) should compete the sports packet found at this link: https://goo.gl/uwmrNS . Packets submitted after February 26 may not be approved in time for the start of the season. Students who are not cleared, may not try out or practice with a team.
